Am off to York this weekend and am looking for a decent restaurant (price not really an issue).

Can anyone recommend anywhere?

The Blue Bicycle is excellent, and is full of history........it was a brothel in the 1800's!!

Agree with normy, it's a lovely restaurant!
I quite like the tasting room - their pea and ham risotto is ace, and the wine list ain't bad either.

La Piazza,Goodramgate has lovely food-affordable and nice staff-haunted building too!!
Also,Plunkets in Petergate was a brothel in the 60's-and boasts the Rolling Stones autographs on their walls-Brian Jones days
