This is similar to our old standby: (It's a U.S. recipe, you'll have to do the conversions)

1 cup granulated sugar
3 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
1/2 teaspoon salt
4 cups all-purpose flour (about)
2 eggs
1 cup milk
3 tablespoons melted butter
Fat or Oil (for deep-fat frying)

Sift together sugar, baking powder, cinnamon, nutmeg, salt, and flour.

Beat eggs thoroughly, then stir into dry ingredients. Add the milk and melted butter. Roll about 1/2 inch thick on a floured board and cut with a doughnut cutter. Fry several at a time in 375 degrees F fat until nicely browned. Drain on paper towels. Dust with granulated or confectioners sugar.

Makes 24.

But for real simplicity try this:

1 container buttermilk refrigerator biscuits
cooking oil (enough to fill pan to 1")
cinnamon and sugar
prepared frosting or powdered sugar

Heat oil until it is very hot. With a doughnut cutter, cut biscuits. Drop in hot oil. Flip as they brown - it only takes a minute, depending on how hot the oil is. Cook the centers also.

Place on paper towels to absorb excess oil. Ice with prepared frosting, coat with cinnamon-sugar mixture or powdered sugar as desired.

Makes 10 doughnuts and 10 doughnut centers.
