I bought some wallflowers that said on the label 'dwarf'. These have turned out very pretty colours but not small. When the flowers have faded do I pull them up and plant something else or just cut them down.

Yes, once the flowers have finished the plant dies. You can wait for the seeds to drop then pull them up so you'll have plants growing for next spring.

there is a type of wallflower that is everlasting (perenial) i would check on the label before you pull them up, you could be losing next years show lol.
I think the wallflowers amonty is referring to are the summer flowering ones which look like wallflowers but don't smell like them and flower from June. Unless there's another variety which has recently come on the market.
By the way reffgt, all us budding gardeners all started at one point from learning the basics and still learning...

Many thanks gardeners for your answers and I shall look out for anything that comes up each year.Will still log on to any gardening question, as you are right, you never stop learning.Chelsea flower show I won't be,I like it to look pretty.
