Hi, I am trying to set up Thunderbird to recieve email through my hotmail account. Followed all the instructions on the website for the webmail add-on (http://webmail.mozdev.org/setup.html) but the emails don't seem to want to download into my inbox. (New ones or old ones.)

Can anybody help?

I am sure that free hotmail accounts cannot be used with Thunderbird, Outlook Express and so on.

Do you have the subscription Hotmail account?

If you are using the free version, there is a webmail extension for Thunderbird, but there is discussion as to whether it actually works.

No, I only have the free one. The website for the extension is not particularly helpful! But I think it is more to do with the fact that hotmail have changed their servers recently and the extension people haven't realised. Thanks anyway
