clearing searches

hello all, just wondered if you can help. on the ntl home page there is a search bar, i have used this to look for a present for my girlfriend, but i now cant clear the search. i have tried deleting history and cookies but nothing will shift it please help colin

Just go into your options and click that you do not want your pc to keep a history of your searches or to remember what you put in the search bar.
