i am due to get married in August for the second time, i have 3 children aged 13, 11 and 9 so they are beginning to be independent. they live with me, my new partner has 3 children that live with their mum, ged 17, 15 and 13. is it madness that i feel a little broody? should i be aiting for grandchildren rather than wanting one myself? i am 33 and my partner is 37. anybody out there with words of wisdom?

I think it is perfectly natural for yo to want to have a child with your new partner, regardless of how many you both already have. It's all part of our make-up...

If you have the finances & energy to cope with another then go for it! you are both young enough and the eldest kids are old enough to help out too :o)

When I met Mr Pippa he had a daughter (lives with her mum and us at weekends) and I had 2 kids. We have had 2 kids together, and bearing in mind the oldest was 7 when we had our first there was a lot of work involved! we now have a 17 year old, two 14 year olds, a 9 year old & a 6 year old. A lovely family, which I am sure yours will be too..if not already!

Good luck xx
Hi Fairie,

No its not madness, its very natural and 33 is young. Dont wish for you other children to grow up to fast tho, plenty of time for grandchildren!
Does your partner know how you feel? Can you financially afford another child.

If you can answer yes, then get baby dancing for that little bundle of joy.

Good luck and lots of baby dust :-)
