Hi, I'm looking for a cheap(ish) holiday abroad for my boyfriend and I this year, and I was wondering if anyone could give us any help?

We're looking to go somewhere hot, with reasonable beaches/resorts, we're not into the whole clubbing thing, and we're not bothered about staying in a luxury hotel, just aslong as it's of reasonable quality (the obvious.. no dirt/smells/bugs etc etc.).

We're not particularly fussy, we're students, and all we're really looking for is somewhere hot, where we can relax, away from England.

Also, does all inclusive really work out that much cheaper? or would it be worth looking out for half board/self catering too?

Thanks to anyone who can help, it will be very much appreciated :D

Bulgaria!

We went to Sunny Beach for a week last summer, 4* hotel with flights from Gatwickand paid just over 200.

Everything out there is super cheap as well, food etc.

Like everywhere, I'm sure some people will have had bad experiences of Bulgaria, but our hotel was clean (and bug and smell free...), and the beaches were lovely too.

My friend is ALWAYS going on about bulgaria...

What was the weather like?

And did you book last minute?

Thanks :D x
How about Tunisia? We went there at the end of June beginning of July, was really hot, cost less than 300 each for 2 weeks half board, plenty to see and gorgeous beaches that were cleaned every night. Really good security out there in the resorts as well. Is also very cheap there, if you go to any of the markets / Medina's you have to haggle but there's also fixed price shops (best one is in Sousse).
It was lovely weather when we were there - roasting all day (around thirty degrees) and stayed pretty warm at night. We went at the end of June.

I think we booked it through lastminute.co.uk about a month in advance, although we then met people who had booked it last minute and got the same hotel as us, same length of time, but with half board instead of bed and breakfast, for 20 cheaper.

I love Sunny Beach...

kaz, we went to tunisia in 2005 to Skanes, Sahara beach, and it cost us 550 each all inc... what was the name of the resort you stayed at? Because Tunisia was very nuce I must agree, but I wasn't too fone or Monastir, the locals kind of scared me abit..!

Missmoore, I will definately be looking into Bulgaria too :D

xx
Try Turkey, that is cheap and hot.
I dont know if you've been getting prices online, but I would recommend the website www.otbeach.com. They basically provide very cheap holidays using accommodation that is not usually used by the large tour operators. But on the occasions I have used them I have found the accommodation to be clean & reasonable. Just one thing to bear in mind, the prices quoted are for flights & accommodation and do not include transfers from the airport to your resort and back. I found the holidays on here to be by far the cheapest and they cover most of the popular destinations.
We stayed in Hammamet at the Hotel Mediterannee (think that was how it was spelt). Went with My Travel. (Did get an early booking discount but wasn't an awful lot)
