Oh joy of joys. My heart simply wants to sing. At last someone has shown some compassion towards those poor WAGS whose only crime was to meet and most probably share their lives with men earning many tens of thousands of pounds a week. So they're as wooden on the box as two short planks, so their combined IQ is still in single figures, so what? At least they won't starve now. How wonderful it was of ITV to give these woefully under-privileged young ladies the chance to come out of their hovels in Sloan Square and start LIVING again. Whilst we catch ITV in their philanthropic mood may I suggest we urge them to look kindly on some other remnants of the Victorian slums - property developers. estate agents and merchant bankers.

I was talking about the wags in general, their Boutique prog being a prime example. Personally just watching their promo had me searching for the bucket. But in a wider context it's just another sad indictment of the times we live in. Gone are the days when our need for excitement and aggression were satisfied by watching Danger Man or the Saint. I think it's been generally admitted by all concerned that we now live in a much more hostile and aggressive society and whilst those in power may condemn this trait they also feed/sustain/encourage society's need for it by producing programmes of a predatory and confrontational nature. The present-day ****-fighting or public hanging no doubt.
