Hello, I am unsure of what sort of heating system I have (thicko) but I have an immersion heater, and a gas Potterton boiler situated in kitchen. (with buttons for water or radiators) I dont use the immersion heater as it doesnt work!.

But when just switching the water on, my radiators all come on. I can switch the others off, so could live with it, but the one in my hall still comes on full heat, (it doesnt have a control button so I cant switch it off) . Sorry for muddled question. But can anyone help? Thanks

would need a little more information.. there are dozens of possibilities...do you have any tanks in your loft, if so how many, and whats the model number of you boiler?
i dont know what type of system it is.. but i was told when my central heating was installed that my bathroom and Hallway radiators had no control valves to switch them off as this was to allow a circuation of water when the system was on... the system would not work at all if all radiators were shut off as the water wouldnt circulate and could possibly damage the system.

dont know if this is true or not... just my thoughts..
