Sky Plus Box will it work ?

I have done my 12 months contract with SKY with Sky Plus and have had enough of repeats. If I cancel my contract and get the FreeSat card from them for �20 will I be able to record freeview programs ?

I think there is a �10 per month charge for Sky+ if you don't subscribe to a sky package.

Surely if you cancel your subscription to sky, you will still receive the freeview channels totally FOC anyway ?

You do need the �20 FreeSat card to get the free channels through Sky.

The sky+ is �10 a month if you have standard Sky with no premium channels, but I don't know if this applies to FreeSat.

You'll have to contact Sky to be sure.

Mattk. Freeview is coming through your TV Aerial. Freesat is through the Sky Dish. There are more channels and no reception problems.
