Hey there,
In a vain attempy to pack on some tshirt muscles for the impending sunny (hopefully) season, I'm considering some protein shake products containing high creatine content, however do these products actually work? I have access to a gym in work and have recently started working out regularly, my diet is moderately balanced and I already do a lot of aerobic excerise (cycle 40+ milse per week). Would these products be beneficial to me? Cheers! :D

I took them for a couple of years and saw no benifit. As long as you eat healthy and the proper foods ie chicken / fish / vegs / fruit you will be ok.
You say your doing 40+ miles a week thats a lot if your not fat.If you want to get big cut down on the aerobia and concentrate on the weights more.

And make sure you bodys rests thats when the muscels grow.
Any supplement is a load of pants. Ancient sculptures of Atlas and Hercules are no different to athletes of today with all their supplements and vitamins etc.

As Mrknowall says, if you want to build muscle cut down on the CV work and do more resistance. Or pack some weights on you legs and arms whilst cycling.

My advice eat as you are if balanced but just add say a tin of tuna twice a day to your diet. This low-fat protein should bulk you up if combined with resistance training. Also drink more semi-skimmed milk (great muscle builder).

Rite on chaps, thanks for the advice.

i agree with the others, the only way to lose fat and build muscle is to do lots of resistance work.
Supplements do work but only on high end athletes.

I can recommend these two books:
Food for fitness by Anita Bean
and
Body for life by Bill Phillips
