If making say, plum puree for a weaning baby, can you freeze the extra's?

Hammerhead - sorry, meant if you make up too much plum puree and want to save some back, can you freeze it to stop it from going off before you use it all up.

Definitely. If you froze whole plums, there's a good chance that when thawed they would go a bit mushy. But as you're pureeing them anyway, this wont matter.
Sorry makemesmile. Frozen plums do not go mushy.
I should know, My trees are over productive and as a family we freeze loads of it. It last us at least a year.

a good ip when freezing bab food is to freeze it in an ice cube tray and then you can easily get to the amounts you require each time
