carpet in the bathroom!!!! how do I keep it dry????

have moved into a rented house.... there is carpet in the bathroom. When getting out of the shower what can i get to keep the water from seeping onto the carpet....some kind of plastic sheeting ....has anyone a solution to this?

Maybe a bath mat? you can step on it as you come out of the shower, dry yourself then hang it on top of the shower rail, or over the bath if you have a bath? That's what i used to do.
Dry yourself in the shower, feet last, of course. Dry one foot and step out with that, then dry the other foot before you place it on the carpet. Done this for years.

is your house unfurnished..if so, then you could rip the carpet out and lay some lino down.if not,could you ask the landlord to replace it?

if you really do not like the carpet bathroom situation put a letter to your landlord asking to replace it make sure he/she gives you written permision to replace it and keep this with you in going inventory. problem solved.
