Switzerland is to create a tunnel 35 miles long, making it the longest tunnel in the world. This is the sort of record that quite easily passes us by. What other strange world records are out there that people might not have heard about?

There is a World record for the most books typed backwards by one person.
Well it may be the longest railway tunnel in the world, but the P�ij�nne Water Tunnel in Finland is the world's longest continuous rock tunnel. It is 120 kilometres (74.6 miles) long and was completed in 1982.
