Does anyone have any opinions about David Icke or about his views?

I always thought he was a complete loony after his appearences on TV years ago claiming to be Jesus and wearing purple shell suits. I recently read one of his books out of interest and found that he did have some interesting things to say. I agreed with some of the things that he said about the government eroding our personal freedoms and the media manipulated society we live in.

The thing I found obsurd though was his claim that the royal family are reptiles dressed up as humans, Tony Blairs a reptile, George Bush is a reptile, Leonardo De Caprio's a reptile. He even claims that John Major is a reptile who regularily sacrafices children on a fire during depraved worship. I think this reptile thing does undermine some of the other sensible things he has to say and thats why the media always ask him about this and always focus upon this.

David Icke believes in the Protocols of the Elders of Zion. On that basis alone what he says should be treated with upmost skepticism, since it's accepted by all except the most Woo Woo of Woo Woos that the Protocols is an anti-Semitic hoax originally purpurtrated by the Russian secret police in the 1890s.

Terry Wogan hardly stitched him up either. He made himself look like a pratt, as you can see by reading an excerpt from Jon Ronson's most excellent 'Them, Adventures With Extremists' here; http://boards.marihemp.com/boards/msg1x57354.s html
I've read some of his work, and listened to him being interviewed. He does have some interesting thiings to say, but his claim that the some politicians are reptiles might be a bit over the top. Low-life, yes, but reptiles I'm not sure about!

And Mani - poor old Terry Wogan! To err is human; to forgive divine.
"Altogether in The Floral Dance".
Luna, shall we save it for the ABers' annual ball? Theland can lead us around the boxing ring perhaps?
Mmmm.....Lovely.
Right, agreed then. Get your glad rags on Luna - we're off to the ball!
Is Icke of his bike?
Must admit that after reading several of his books I have never looked at the royal family in the same light again.
George W Bush certainly has some comparisons to a reptile but John Major?
Pleeease!
And Toney Blair is just a tw@t.
No reptile, child sacrificing, devil worshiping, despot needed
Maybe he's demonically possessed, or opressed? But he strikes me as a very gentle man, not out to hurt anybody. I feel sorry for him.
I tend to agree with you,Theland. The change in this kind and gentle man was so fast and so complete that it couldn't be anything else. I wonder what occurred in his life that brought about this alter ego, as it's not the real David Icke?

The last time I saw the real person he was hosting the Para-Olympics and so different as to be from a different planet.........
Hes barkin!!!
He also believed the Matrix was real...

The man clearly has issues, but until he takes up a weapon against another person, he's entitled to live his life as he pleases.

BTW - I'm not so much a reptile as a warm-blooded dragon
