friend of mine claims that to increase your housing waiting list points you need to persistently keep going to the local housing office in person and keep repeadetdly enquiring as to when a property will be given .He claims everytime you do this the housing office give you extra need points -assuch measures show the desperation of your situation (how kind of them).
(My expereinve of council officails is if you annoy them they conveniently lose your paperwork )

Going to the council all the time will not increase your points! I tried that! I was in a one bed flat with my son, went to the council nearly every day but still had 2 wait 4 years! The only extra points i got was 15 each year! Everyone gets them for every yr that they r on the waiting list regardless of whether u go to the council all the time or not!
You only need to go to the council if you have a change of circumstances that would affect your points. Other than that it makes no difference. A person going in every day wouldn't get any further up the list than a person that sits at home and waits.
Hi we are in Lincs and my friend has to go every week as they update the houses available list every week. You have to steak your claim on the 3 house you fancy and if you have more points than everyone else after that house you get it. But she did not say in increased her points but obviously is you dont go in every week you may miss some houses
