I am sure that it's dead easy once you know how, but how do I cut and paste a website link into (for instance) an online forum?

Depends on the forum, some (like AB) will let you just paste in the url: http://www.futurenoir.com/ .

Others require you to use HTML tags - you need to enclose the URL with the correct tag. Start with <url> (sometimes [url]) and close with /url within the same type of brackets. The following example deliberately has mixed brackets to keep them visible! <url>www.typetheaddresshere.com[/url].

Others do not allow code at all.
