The last one you mentioned is The Weirdstone Of Brisingamen by Alan Garner.

ooh, I'm enjoying this! :)
And another one -

When Hitler Stole Pink Rabbit by Judith Kerr
All in One Piece by Jill Murphy

Not Now, Bernard by David McKee

it's the two 'G' ones which have got me stumped - you'd think a book with a one word title would be easy.

(I'm not always this sad and obsessed BTW, got a heavy hold and having a lazy day).
make that a heavy cold!

I'm not always this determined, but i've started and want to finish and now sean is in bed with a sickness bug so it will cheer him up if i can finish it.

G by AB = Gorilla by Anthony Browne
G by JB = Granpa by John Burningham
The author RLS is probably R.L.Stine, author of the Goosebumps series (is the V for Vampire perhaps?), unlikely to be Robert Louis Stevenson!
The RI is tricky - not many children's authors with those initials - Roberto Innocenti? Robert Ingpen? (both more well-known for illustrating) Rachel Isadora? but can't find a title to match.
It would be handy to update the message with a summary of the ones you are still looking for too!
