Does anyone know if you can buy energy saving light bulbs for dimmers switches please?

You can't put a dimmer onto a fluorescent bulb, which is what energy saving bulbs are.

There are special types of fluorescent fitting that can be dimmed - they are used in the likes of hospitals.
As for ordinary domestic fluorsecents - no.
