Does a network scan using this program allow me to remotely update any other PC's on my network ?

MS Baseline Security Analyser does just what it says on the tin. It scans you PC to check for the most obvious security risks. It makes sure you have the most recent patchs for Windows and any other MS software (like MSSQL server, IIS).

It doesn't actually update anything. So although you can remotely scan a PC on the network (assuming you have network admin rights), all the Baseline Security Analyser will do is tell you what needs fixing. It usually supplies links to the updates but you'll still need to run them on the remote machine yourself.
