unprotected sex again
Antibiotics can sometimes cause thrush, could be that.
How do you know Norman? Was it you?

What as a urine infection got to do with unprotected sex Norman?? And whats that got to do with you?
I think he is talking about a sexual disease ghonorhea or something similar.
just as women get thrush, men can also get a simmilar infection, and it is not always caused through unprotected sex, however, if you have discharge this may be clamidia and that is through sex, your best bet is to go to your gp and he can make an appointment at the hospital for a check up, its not something to be ashamed of and you will feel better wance you are cleaned up, be a bit more carefull next time.
A couple of tips here from someone who has had this hundreds of times although now, it has subsided to about once a year. Always have a wee after sex, try not to wear nylon underwear, better still - go commando! Drink plenty of water, avoid tight jeans if possible (diff I know sometimes). Invest in a bidet!! Hope that helps, but would go to back to the docs & tell him about the discharge, could be something else but all curable very quickly and painlessly. ES
yummymum,
a discharge is quite common when pregnant, some women experience very heavy discharge but have no infections. Thrush is also quite common.
As long as the discharge has not got an offensive odour then its generally safe to say its just a side effect of the pregnancy. Speak to your midwife next time you see her.
it is true that both pregnancy & antibiotics (not necessarily together) can cause thrush.

Urine infections on their own don't usually cause discharge.

.....to those people that have assumed that I have had unprotected sex and now have some sexually transmitted disease, In one respect you would be correct im 6 months pregnant so yes at some time I must have had unprotected sex however I can tell you it will have been with my partner of 5 years!

To those who have given more helpfull answers Thank you very much maybe it is just the antibiotics or the pregnancy i will speak to the midwife when I go next week, I was just wondering what it could be as I have been tested for everything else lately so I knew it wasnt anything serious. xx
