Not really... in the context as used in your query, a Mammoth is an extinct relative of the elephant that roamed North America and Eurasia during the Ice Age... which, of course, you already know. The point is this is a name of a species, whereas the term mammoth, meaning gigantic is used in a different context. Granted, Mammoth's were, well, mammoth, but it's equal to someone named White, who also happens to be Caucasian... Interesting question, though...
I believe you can get Giant Shrimps too.
