Hitchhikers Guide/ Eagles question

Back when I was in college, I remember my flatmate playing me a track which I believe he said was by the Eagles. The reason he played it to me was the astonishing similarity of this piece to the theme from the BBC TV adaptation of the Hitchhikers Guide To The Galaxy. Anyone know anything more about either track?

That particular song you are talking about is indeed an Eagles song. It is called "Journey To The Sorcerer" and It was more than similar, it was the song used in that particular tv series if memory serves. Hope this is of use.
