I recently had a message that an update was ready for downloading - which I assume was to do with my Zone Alarm or Norton protection - which I duly downloaded

Now each time I go unto the internet it takes ages to connect and I keep getting the following message
from ' Limewire '

' your machine does not appear to have an active internet connection or a firewall is blocking Limewire from accessing the internet . Lime wire will automatically keep trying to connect you to the internet unless you select disconnect from the file menu '

Can someone please tell me what limewire is AND should I uninstall it

Thanks

limewire is a file sharing piece of software.i would imagine to get this notice you must have it installed on your machine.
If you didn't want limewire just go through the start button to the programs list Limewire will be in there, and an option of uninstall limewire should be there if you go to limewire.
