Video editing software

Can anyone recommend good software for editing together a video montage set to music. I bit like they do each year for snooker. There is a lot of video editing stuff out there but I don't know which one is best for what I'm trying to do. I don't mind paying a decent price if it's good.

A toss up between Premiere Elements and Serif MoviePlus 5. Both around �50 - �60. I'd recommend Serif MoviePlus 5 - Pinnacle Studio 10 is quite good and easy to use but a bit limited and prone to crashing!

Ive found the one that came with your PC -Windows Movie Maker is very good, the only downside is you carnt save it as a mpeg (DVD) but save it as a AVI and use Nero to burn to DVD
