Actually I've just looked back at the dictionary and now can't find that definition - just come home from work - very tired !

Now have 25d Pierce.
I think that lambent may refer to the 'playing around'. One definition is of flames lightly playing on the surface of something.
I obviously shouldn't be replying as I am hallucinating definitions !

I often have Google "mirages" when I swear I have seen a reference to something that doesn't exist.
