How do i communicate with the CPS. i have retracted a statement from the police however the CPS still want to take the case to court, ive have a letter stating this, however no other communication for ten weeks, the case isnt for anougher nine weeks, i would like to communicate with the CPS with a view of them dropping the case as i was the only other person involved in this and dont want to press charges i cant see what the problem would be, a pre trial hearing is in four weeks, the charges are battering

Domestic incident back in december 06, my hubby was arrested and later charged, he went to court two weeks later and is still on bail, his chage is battering, i am told it was Domestic violance however becouse no marks were seen it was moved to battering, he is still on bail till April 07, with a pre trial in March, i have retracted my statemnt, and he has asked for his bail to be varied however its been declained, the statment retracted by myself has never been given to his solicitor, however when he went for bail variations the cps said they were aware i had retraced, the police have never called myself since the incident, so its all second hand info ( However i have seen the bail letter, and it states as above ) all i want is to get back togher, and get the matter sorted, thanks for your reply
I think the CPS are keen to punish domestic violence these day so they decide whether to persue a case or not, no matter if you have retracted your statement. This is precisely because this sort of thing would happen and a lot of time and money would be wasted when women took their men back and forgave them.

If he's prosecuted perhaps he'll think twice before using violence on you next time.
