air lock in heating system

does anybody know of any hints / tips / tricks / special tools that would help me bleed my system. there is one rad that doesn't get a flow of hot water. i managed to get it to work before but this time it's being a pain.
rad is brand new (replaced old one )
any ideas gratefully recieved. cheers guys. (and girls )

If it is a new replacement rad and you never had a problem with its original one then the engineer that fit it has probably not balanced the rad correctly. Try turning you're heating onto full and then turn off all the rads at there control valves except you're problem rad and proceed to balance it properly the you can turn on the other rads again. Good luck.

thank gasman. it sorted it's self out overnight. i think it was what you said, 'cos this morning all the rads are hot. now just got to put some inhibitor in.
