Hi, Is there anywhere online that I can find out what different, common 4x4's weigh and what their towing limits are? I need to a buy a 2nd hand cheapish 4x4 to toe 1500-2000kg. But including the 4x4 and the trailor I can only total 3500kg all togther. So I need the weight and toeing capabilitys of some 4x4's so I can see which one's would be suitable. I'm in the UK.

Thank you.

I think this is a bit of a grey area, but I think you can only pull a trailer with a MAM of 85% of the kerbweight of the towing vehicle. So, if you were towing 1500kg, your car would have to be 1765kg, which puts your train weight at 3265kg, which is getting pretty close to the 3.5T limit. By this rule , the max MAM of a trailer would be 1608kg, with a car of 1892kg.
