My daughter has been out of nappies for nearly a year and every so often goes back to wetting herself, just lately for a couple of wks now she has been wetting the bed more than ever, and wetting herself during the day. At first I put this down to pure laziness although she is not til April she knows exactly what to do and when to do it. I just don't know what to do anymore, this afternoon I caught her in the kitchen she had wee'd on my dining chair and sat there playing in her wee. Please help me I have tried everything I can think of to deal with this problem but it's getting to me now endless washing and cleaning, tonight she has gone to bed with a nappy on and has been out of them for about 6 months. PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!!!!

I had this recently too with 2 and 1/2 year old. It was a water infection. My eldest had infections and was poorley but youngest wasnt poorley at all except this apparent total loss of bladder control and didnt seem to care. I went back to stickers and throwing parties for dry pants etc. to no avail till I asked my sister who is a nanny and she filled me in on the possibility of infection. Of to docs I went and one dip stick test was bang on infection. Anti biotics did the trick and with a bit of re training as stinging wee had put her off a bit we are all dry again. A little known fact that some kids have no symptoms of water infections except not knowing they need a wee or have done a wee. Good luck.

Hi thanks for your help although I really don't think this is what has caused it, she has been tested many times for water infections as she wee's excessively, I have had them so personally know the symptoms.
She went to bed last night with pull ups on and had a complete dry night!!!! She was dry all through today and told me she didn't want to wear pull ups tonight, she wet the bed about half past nine but was coughing alot so I think that could be why she did it tonight as she has yet another cold!!!!
Will see how the rest of tonight and tomoro goes will let you know.
Thanks again
ok. I was so impressed mine was solved so easy. Sorry doesnt seem you will have same luck. Hang in there.
If she wees excessively it could be a symptom of diabetes, therefore the lack of consistency with it might be a sugar dietary thing, I'd check this out. Also kids who are even slightly dairy intolerant and have more diary produce or especially milk on some days will wet the bed more than days when they don't consume as much dairy. Just a couple of options. Good Luck
