Computer failure!

Does anybody know how I can completely restart my computer, as if it were new? It is completely failing on me at the moment and I have tried everything I can think of to resolve the matter (complete virus scan, defragmentation etc), however, I now think that the best thing I can do is to start from 'factory settings' in order to resolve my problems. Any advice would be great.

Thanks in advance

Do you have a Recovery Partition or an Installation disk?
Hiya Emma

Are you using XP? Are you able to get it to the point where you could restore your computer to a previous date? Failing all that it sounds as if you'd be better off reformating your hard drive and reinstalling the OS.
