Ever since my comp did a weird crash when I turn it on it takes about 3 minutes for programs such as MSN, Explorer, games to load. It will connect to the internet fine and the core programs for drivers like ATI load up but most dont turn up in the system tray at first and when I double click the icons nothing happens. After about 3 minutes everything loads and is fine but its annoying to have to wait each time, does anyone know what this could be and have a solution please? Thank you.

the registry probably has some corrupt entries.

Try running System Restore and selecting a date before your PC crashed. It's not absolutely guaranteed to work but it's situations like yours which System Restore was designed to cope with, so it should be the first solution which you try.

I agree with chris but system restore didnt fix my problem with the registry and i still have my problem and I have formatted 3 times and also low formatted, my Pc takes 5 mins to boot up......you could try a registry fixing programme but I think you may have to pay for it unless anyone here may know of a free one......my pc will meet a swift end soon as I am running out of patience, but good luck however......tobeloy
