Does anyone out there have a good word that means travel? I'm thinking of something obscure, quirky and really off-the-beaten-path, similar to shunpiking (but not shunpiking!).

Thanks!

Thanks! Some really good suggestions there...keep 'em coming!
Would you consider "galumphing" to be appropriate?
Question Author
Hi Stewey...thanks, but I wonder...the definition of galumph is "to move with a clumsy heavy tread"...I was kind of hoping for something a little more fun...any more ideas?
OK, Buggy, why not consider "fungalumphing" as an alternate to my previous suggestion? As in: my buddy and I are fungalumphing off to Newcastle-Under-Lyme to have a jolly good time.
