At the risk of blowing my own horn, my question 'American English and British English' has received more than 20 replies.

So, why isnt it in the 'most popular' section, on the homepage? It would attract more people and answers...

The simple answer is because that page itself hasn't been updated since November.
Home page? What's that? I don't think I've visited this mythical homepage. Where is it? Is there anything worth seeing there? Do you think I should make an effort to find it? My favourites link brings me straight to the important bits every time so it doesn't matter if it wasnt updated in 3 months or 30 months.
and the thread that got 200 the other nite kinda knocks that one into a cocked hat (whatever that means)
I am sick of seeing the same most popular section remaining with the same questions. I ask again - where is this new ed? where is her team? what are they doing? Why can't some older members become moderators and have access to changing some of what the public see when they come to this website. long term members are left to patrol this place and are far more diligent and as they are doing the ed's job then they should have more leeway.
