hello everyone,

This is a really embarassing question so PLEASE dont take the p!ss! (as if!)

Well, I woke up one moning last week with really sore girl bits.....the kind of feeling you get if you've had too much sex (but I hadn't had any!) and I'm still really sore now.. It looks a bit red and inflamed but nothing obvious and there's no discharge or anything (it doesn't seem/feel like thrush or cystitis, I've had both in the past but it feels completely different).......I've booked in with the GP but can't get an appt until Tues - any ideas?

It even hurts to wear certain pairs of pants as they seem to 'dig in' and it hurt even more...the feeling is kind of like when you press on a bruise!

Thanks in advance
A xXx

have you changed washing powder or bought any new bubble baths or shower gels?
Could you have nicked it with something? Do you shave down there or similar, something that could have aggravated the area?

I have had this before, and it was exactly the same as you.It just stopped hurting all on its own after 2 or 3 days but I never did find out what it was.
^^ ^^ well there si always one ;o)

Without wanting to *ahem* probe for TMI, whereabouts is the soreness..is it external or internal?
This may give some extra ideas...

There are also some tips to make things a bit more comfortable in the meantime.

You could always try a walk in sexual health clinic or walk in centre to get seen earlier.

Pippa - it's kind of a bit in & a bit out, right on the 'edge' so to speak!

I haven't changed any products as I am allergic to EVERYTHING so I stick with what I know won't make me itch! Also, I haven't shaved there recently either.....but that is kind of what it feels like (as if it had been scratched or somthing eg a raggy nail - but I hadn't been up to anything through the night!!)

I've been with my hubby for 12 yrs and neither of us has ever slept with anyone else, so I know it's nothing dodgy!.......(I hope!)

Boro1986, I could accept, but if you're an ameteur I would have to charge you!!

Tut tut, boro :o)

I had to laugh (sorry petes_dragon) at Jennas references to 'walk in' centres as I was imagining you hobbling in with an 'oooh' and 'aaarrrgh'!

Are you sure you weren't having a sexy dream? I havehad experience of this but will not divulge further...
lol at boro! Hi Petes, have you been on antibiotics or anything like that lately?x
If its not washing poweder or conditioner, have you changed the soap or shower stuff you use to wash with? Are you using new towels that you have not pre-washed yet?
I'm not a gynaecologist....but I'm willing to have a look :)
Could be herpes? Boro; the chin rest's actually called the perinium I think.
dont mean for this to sound perverse in any way but u could have been scratching or rubbing down there in your sleep try and wear loose cotton knickers in bed im sure its nothing to worry about

xx
No the chin rest is call a 'taint'!!

T'aint ar*se t'aint fan*y!!

:o)

and I work in the medical profession!
Nice one!
Yeah i agree with havinmysay - you were most likely scratching, rubbing yourself in the night whilst asleep. This has happened to my friend before. Still if you are worried go see your GP - see how it is before tuesday, chances are itll just go down before then!
