Remember your comment on this link? http://www.theanswerbank.co.uk/Food-and-Drink/ Question340716.html Well I've crawled home tired and hungry and could not be bu****ed to prepare anything and did not want fish or meat and then I remembered the turkey cut into portions in plastic bags and also the mushrooms in the fridge and a can of mushroom soup in the cupboard. I felt like a female version of Oscar Goldman as I held the bag of turkey and addressed the dog and cockatiel (I quote) Pets, we can rebuild it. I have the technology and the recipe. I have the capability to make the world's first Anglo-American Chatt curry. This frozen bag will be that curry. Better than he was before. Betterstrongerfaster.tastier..burp able......... Great curry it was too and although I could not stand in the middle of my lounge grasping my left tit and singing the star spangled banner in your honour I did put on Glen Miller's Chattanooga Choo-Choo in thanks with you in mind.

zimzam - I can't stop laughing honey!!! You are just toooooo welcome - Glen Miller and I both say so.

NOW do you see why I always buy the biggest turkey I can find? That already cooked - already chopped - ready to throw in whatever chicken or turkey dish (they are interchangable) you feel like making - at a moment's notice - are so wonderful??? NOW are you feeling the love???:)

Works just as well for ham, beef, pork, etc.:)

zimzam - your next mission - should you choose to accept it - is to make some taco soup for the freezer. :)

Ok, BBWC - taco soup for my freezer? I am going to need a recipe before I self destruct somewhere. Taco soup sounds grand! This human, her dog and her bird all wait in eager anticipation for your culinary delight in an easy to follow recipe fashion.
For those of you who are sick of seeing my favorite recipe - please avert your eyes - this is for my friend zimzam:)

Taco Soup

1 Pound Hamburger (Minced Beef) Browned & Drained
1 Packet Taco Bell Taco Seasoning
1 Can Ro-tel Tomatoes (has jalapeno in it)
(can is the size of a Campbells soup can)
1 Can Dark Red Kidney Beans
1 Can Corn Whole Kernel
1 Can of Water

Mix together & cook until it looks/smells done - although everything is already cooked - so you COULD eat it as soon as it gets hot. You can also put it in a crockpot/slow cooker.
(After you make it with the recipe one time to see what it is like - the next time you can also add carrots, peas, white beans, pinto beans, potatoes - just any vegetable you like best.)
After you put it in your bowl taste it, it is great that way and less fattening then put a big blob of sour cream in it and mix it up then taste it again.
Garnish with black olives, cheese, onions, chives whatever makes you happy.
I multiply the recipe (using less meat and more corn - just a personal preference) and freeze containers of it to pop in the microwave to thaw and heat later.

Hmmmmm.....dribble.....drool.....ok off to try and get a tin of tomatoes with jalapeno in it. That recipe sounds sorta orgasmic, so you call me rumble tummy!
lol zimzam - I am sending you a link to see the can of Ro-tel Original so you can get an idea of what you want to duplicate:)

This recipe is one of my staples - I almost always have some in the freezer for those I can't make one more step days:)

I am sold! I will have a look round regarding those tomatoes but that really is a nice recipe. I'll probably dream about food all night long now and it's all your fault.
lol zimzam - you are soooo funny!!!
zimzam - these would substitute for the Ro-tel tomatoes - can you find them?
