he had big drink problem......it wud have affected his performance in band....they became very famous and successfull when BJ succeeded him.....however i loved Bon Scotts stuff....

have seen AC/DC before , and after , as it were , and bon scott took them as far as he could have .
but Brian Johnson took them to the next level .

in my opinion scott was the better singer. brians good but not as good as bon. answers will vary for this question its just a matter of preference.

Bon and his boozing is a fair shout actually stuff he wrote was fantastic without question and his voice and stage presence was out of this world but if he was still around would he be a washed up old drunk and Malcolm and Angus would have had to fire him from the band? thus not having the warm and cherished memories we have of him now?

(Back In Black album was mostly penned by Bon b4 he died)

the back catologue would not probably contain some of the gems that they later recorded. dont think of the what if, but of the what has, ac/dc have long great legacy of true rock n roll band.

They were very lucky to get an adequate replacement like Brian Johnson. Even though Bon was out of control , they were the far better band with him at the helm. I could name my top 10 hits and Brian dont sing any. For as long as Bon would have lived they would have been a better band. Bon is one of the best of all time where as Brian is not.
