Hi. I recently replaced my DVD burner with a LightScribe DVD RAM drive. I thought it would be really convenient to be able to write the labels in the drive, instead of f4arting around with the printer or hunting for a suitable pen. However, it can take anything from 8 to 15 minutes to write the label. Is this normal?

Q: How long does it take to label a disc?

A: Labeling time depends heavily on content, hardware, media and print mode used. Typically for title only content, a labeling time of 2-5 minutes can be expected. For full disc graphics in Best quality mode, labeling times of 20-35 minutes can be expected.
