it was probably a scam
It's illegal to sell air tickets, or package holidays which include air travel, without an Air Travel Organisers Licence.

For this reason, eBay prohibits such items being offered for sale on its site:

Did you not notice when the listing should've ended? Maybe he has got back with his laydeeeee and withdrawn it?
Some people do genuinely sell things on eBay, not everyone is a 'scammer' yet seem to be perceived as being so.
That said, i would be reluctant to go on holiday with a total stranger! If the booking was made in his name then the name on the other ticket would only need to be changed - something which happens all the time - and an admin fee paid.

it had 7 days left to go, and yes the situation was a bit odd, but he expalined that none of his friends could go at short notice - it did have pics of him on there and a few guidelines as to the type of person he hoped would win! - i didnt bid or anything or that worried about it - just wondering if anyone knew why the listing ended early!!
He has DEFINITLEY made it up with her then!!!!!
