Only if it's still in the cow
No. I freeze milk, it takes about a day to defrost though.
But don't have it in a bottle - it expands on freezing and glass will shatter. I often put a pint in the freezer when I go on holiday, so that I've got some milk when I get back. Thawing can be speeded up by GENTLE use of a saucepan of hot water, or short bursts of microwaves. (You don't want to cook it!)
Lots of people do it so I'm sure it's OK but it's probably best not to re-freeze it once it's thawed just in case.
For the past 12 years, we've always frozen 5 x 2 li Pet's, fortnightly , 1 li left get next out to thaw, this weather it's best to take a jugful at a time from fridge. winemaker
I wouldn't have thought so. In days of old, what happened when the milkman delivered your milk just after you've left for work & it was frozen when you got home at night. You wouldn't have thrown it away, just thawed it out & drank it. Nobody died, well not that I know of!
It is certainly frowned uppon.
