Please can someone point me in the right direction to work out the following question? Maths was never my best subject.
If you roll 2 dice what are the chances (in percentage terms) of the total of the two upper faces being an odd number?

Its 25% - there are 36 solutions in total and 9 of these are two odd numbers
There are 36 solutions - but 18 have an odd TOTAL. Therefore the chances are 50%.

Thanks for your efforts. I am even more confused now.

Each die has three odd number faces and three even number faces, so there is an equal chance for there to be an odd number or an even number showing on either die.
When both are tossed the only four possibilities are: odd even, odd odd, even even, and even odd. Two of these four add to give an odd number total.
So the chance is 50%
