Wireless LAN Indicator

When i start up my laptop it opens up successfully but the problem is the icon symbol at the bottom right toolbar the Wireless LAN Connection Indicator has a red cross on it. It hasent done this in the past. So whats wrong, how do i enable it.

You're not connecting to the internet?

Have you disconnected the LAN by pressing the wireless switch on your laptop?
