Hi all

Quick one, to purchase something on Ebay when the item is "PayPal Only", do you HAVE to have a Paypal account or does it give you an option to pay with a Debit Card? Also, before I commit to buy, can I pay with a Visa ELECTRON card?

Thanks in advance

This is my understanding but I could be wrong. If the auction is for Paypal only then you MUST have a Paypal account set up (but that only takes a couple of minutes. You can only pay by debit/credit card directly if the auction says so, but I think you register an Electron card onto a Paypal account. If you win the auction, click on Buy Now and it will take you to the Paypal webiste where you can register (or go to the Paypal bit first if you're worried that your card may not be accepted). I hope this makes sense. It's much safer to pay by Paypal.
it takes more time than that to set up paypal ... after all they have t put some money in your bank account and you have to aknowledge the transaction before you can start using it dont you? that takes up to a week

Thanks all - I think ive sorted it now

Cheers
no you dont have to have a paypal account, after youve bought 3 things i think it is a paypal account is automatically set up for you, it just basically saves you entering your debit etc card details over and over again, yea they should take visa electron, have a look at the item you want to bid on and scroll right down and itll say at the bottom what payments the buyer excepts

hope this helps
