August 31st 1997 - The Sunday Mirror has an exclusive magazine section featuring photographs of Di and Dodi on their yaught.

Does anyone remember this? I remember it vividly being promoted on TV beforehand (I only remeber it because of what happened) - and when my dad found out about the crash one of the first things he did was to go out and buy this paper before later editions came out sans magazine.

About 5 years ago our house had a flood and the paper got ruined. And I am so sad. For about a month afterwards all of the papers were shaking their heads about how tabloid photographers were scum and villainy, I loved the hipocracy of it. Does anyone else remeber it?

I remember it! It was in colour and advertised the saturday evening on tv.My mum thought the same thing as your dad but when we got the Paper on the sunday the insert wasnt there. They must have had to destroy a lot of inserts that day.
At the time they where also talking of naming the Dome after DI and Dodi but thought better of it when some one pointed out that it would become known as the "Dodi Di Dome"!
Now this yaught is that similar to a Yacht?

Yep, and their hipocracy is similar to hypocrisy
And is I only remeber it because of what happened, similar to I only remember it because of what happened?
And is does anyone else remeber it, the same as does anyone else remember it? m m m m m
But I dont remeber seeing any papers for sale with shaking heads!
Of course, the magazine sections / inserts for newspapers (especially 'the Sundays'), are printed up to several days in advance. They are stockpiled at distribution hubs prior to the arrival of the "outer wrapper" (the paper itself). So if something happens in the meantime, it is difficult to recall the entire print run.

As for the flood at your house, no, I don't remember it - nor do I remember all the papers calling tabloid photographers 'scum' for about a month after the flood at your house.

You don't remember the great flood of '01?

Yeah, all the papers were ranting about the paparazzi. I think loads of papers blamed the paparazzi for it at the time.

I think a few papers actually pledged that they wouldn't buy paparazzi photos any more, but I guess they've forgotten saying this.
