a housebound neighbour has asked me to find some old fashioned paper chains,so she can entertain the young grand children when visiting.. anyone out there know where i can pick some up ..high st stores preferably ..many thanks.

If it's fun with the grandchildren she wants, get her some coloured paper, glue and scissors and let her show them how to make their own the old-fashioned way.

i get mine from wilkinsons, they do sparkly ones or printed ones
I'm not sure how just having paper chains will provide the grand children with entertainment?

I'm with saxy on this one, buy a load of crepe paper, cut into two inch strips while they're still folded up from their packets, and then fold them over each other like we've all probably done at school in the past. Much more entertaining!
