I have just moved house and have had my Sky+ re-installed at my new address. When the Engineer came he told me that as I has had Sky+ for over a year, my system did not need to be connected to a landline. When I asked him why that was, he explained that it was only connected to a landline for the first year so as Sky could monitor my viewing habits (for their own purposes). All that seemed to make sense to me.

However, I have subsequently tried to order a film thru Sky Box Office and I get an on-screen message telling me......................... that the system needs to be connected to a landline! AAAAARRRRRGHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!

Help/advice please before I speak to Sky.
