hey is there specific word in english for that piece of gum thats shaped like a pillow - an example is wrigley's extra. In most European languages its "Drag�es" Anyone any ideas?

Sure that 'dragees' is a cover all term for any crispy shelled chewy inside confectionary - like a lozenge/chew. Always understood 'dragees' to mean chews.
I thought they were called chicklets thats what my mam calls them.
Tablet?

Definitely Chiclets I think it probably comes from the name of the south american gum which is used to make gum -chicle
Beetucks - I THINK - of course I am an old lady and my memory occasionally fails me:) - that Chiclets is just the brand name - like Juicy Fruit or Trident, etc.
