I think I flew with them.....Not really sure.....An aeroplane is an aeroplane especially in economy!

Actually there is quite a bit of difference between airlines. Thanks for your really helpfull reply.
Try www.qatarairways.com

There is an "information and services" tab, this outlines what you can expect in Economy class. I know this isn't quite the same as personal experience but I'm afraid its the closest I can get.
I flew with Qatar Hthrw>Bkk a few years ago... no probs... I'm now off to Thailand again... tmrw for a couple of months... this time with Eva Air: cheap... excellent economy class... good food... I've done this particular journey 5 times now all with different airlines... all much of a muchness imo... although once I flew with Kuwait Airways 'economy' and that was very good... one other thing to consider: I've done the 'stopover' flights as they were cheaper in the past... this time with Eva Air - through Trailfinders - I got a direct flight for the same price...
This is one place to look for comments.

Find out if it is a "dry" flight for starters, could be, if so take your own on board, I was flew PIA [ never again but it was cheap], they are dry but were quite happy to supply us with ice & mixers.

Thanks. Not worried about drinking alcohol whilst flying. In fact can't think of anything worse on a long haul!
they look pretty good so will go with them. I was worried they might be like Air NZ. Once flew from LA to Rarotonga (12 hrs) with them and it was worst flight ever. No individual tv's, rude staff, not enough pillows or blankets. One of their attendants pretty much assulted me when I said I didn't want a beer. He punched my shoulder and asked me 'are you a girl or what?' !
I have not myself flown with them but the only person I have spoken to, who travelled economy, said the flight was good but the airport at Doha is old and it was the subject of the main complaint he had (crowded and very limited facilities/comfort, etc.). There is a new airport under construction. The reason I have not flown with them is largely because the route I wanted involved long stops at Doha. If that is the case on your journey, investigate whether you can make a small excursion into Doha (public transport, etc.).
We've been with Qatar Air to BKK via Doha 4 times. It's OK, but not splendid; some of the passengers to Doha can be a little rude, particularly to women. Doha Airport is dreadful - very small, with only 20% of required seats; the small restaurant is very poor; and the Gate numbers (both on the ground and first floors) cannot be trusted - we're often told to go upstairs, then we find that the flight is leaving from downstairs, and rush down!!
However, as we've been 4 times, it is acceptable!
I flew Emirates LHR to bangkok economy - not bad lorra movies and tv computer games I watched Kill Bill 1 & 2 use www.seatguru.com to check seats before pre-booking
I have flown to Bangkok with Thai Airways, Eva Air and Emirates and all have been very good however I have not gone with Qatar as I have read bad reports.
I've flown Bangkok via Doha with Qatar. Airline is nice and accomodating. Doha airport is terrible though, use the aerplane toilets before you get off and don't plan on eating or chillin out...terrible restaurant and hardly no seats!!
