Lilies are fatal to cats

Just in case there are some cat owners out there who are unaware that lilies, when eaten or brushed against (pollen) by cats can cause an extremely nasty death. Please see link.

ta very much!! my mum loves star gazer lilies and luckily theyve always been out of the way of our cat but will be extra careful in furture!
I always cut the pollen off as when it drops it stains everything!!! doesn't change the fragrance of them and all in the house are safe.....

I do that, but seem to make a load of mess and because the flowers open at different times and I'm not always there I'm rather wary. Mind you, my boy's getting old now so doesn't jump up on things like he used to.
