Since graduating from uni with a 2:2 in Law & Maths I have been working and studying to be an accountant but I absolutely hate it! I have no interest in it what so ever and feel now is the time to change (especially as I'm single again so no ties).

I've always wanted to do (like my dream) postgrad and then PhD at uni so I'm considering apply for courses to start in Sep 07. What should I do about my current situation as I will need to committ to further study/exams if I stay where I am (and my current pay back bill is 2000)? Should I be honest now or wait until the last minute (end of Jan) and tell my employer I no longer want a career in accountancy? Then what should I do - what jobs could I go after? Thanks.

I am in pretty much the same situation and I cant decide what to do either?! I am in accounting also and want to quit! I can only tell you to look at every option possible and if you know the one you want go for it, my problem is that i dont know the one i want i just know several id like to do but cant narrow it down! Regards the money, just pay it as you'll earn it back twice as fast when your qualified.

Good luck!
